Android Publishers Cannot Purchase Their Own Apps

This is not new news by a longshot. But, through the regular course of my day, I encountered this error again and decided to take a picture so that I can let others know about it too.

In order for developers to have the pro versions of their apps, they must side-load it. And, it is typically a debug (non-public release) build.

The publisher cannot purchase this item.

Well, I guess it at least saved me 30% of the app cost if I wanted to buy from myself.

NOTE: This only applies to when using Google's in-app billing system. I don't think third-parties care as much about who is giving them money.

Idea: Delete All Your Music

(Do you like discovering new things? Or do you feel that you are in a musical rut?)

Well, I love music and have a playlist for every occasion and in just about every genre.

Or so I think...

This next experiment has three steps:
1. The first is "deleting" all your music off your computer. (When I say delete, you can just move them or choose not to access them.) This way you aren't temped as easily to just go back to the old ways.
2. Forget about all of your favorite artists. You are biased, so you can try to limit your biases.
3. Search online for "Random Music" or "Music discovery service". The later is probably better if you feel that you are picky about your music.

Try this out for a week. And I'm sure you'll be pleasantly surprised with the results and the great new artists and music discover services that you find.

Huge update to LTE Discovery! We could have called it version 1.34, but these drastic changes made us call this version 2.0. We are not calling this beta anymore!

New Years Resolution of 2013

This is the first year that I'm going to create a blog post about my New Years Resolution.

• My main goal for this year is to create at least one truly innovative mobile application.
• Also for this year would be to develop at least two half-innovative apps.
• This year will be the one where I do more hand stands and possibly a vertical push-up!

LTE Discovery was my main innovative app of 2012. If you search Google for "LTE Discovery", then it should be the first link that pops up. After three weeks of being on Google Play, LTE Discovery is still a one-of-a-kind app. =]

New Android App: LTE Discovery

Published new Android app, LTE Discovery!

It automates discovery of new LTE coverage for Sprint, AT&T, Verizon. It automatically cycles airplane mode every thirty seconds in order to detect the faster network. If you don't have this app, then your phone will only check once every thirty minutes.

Current features include:
 - Audible notification
 - Record of discovered LTE GPS coordinates
 - Works with the screen off

Coding All Day and All Night

I need to make an app that will sleep for me so that I don't have to. I'd rather be coding all day. There are so many exciting things to build that haven't been built yet. =]

Tomorrow, I'll be releasing LTE Discovery for Android. It automates everything you need to do to detect new LTE towers around you. The app will cycle airplane mode on and off every thirty seconds, for the first version. Then, each time LTE is detected, your current GPS coordinates will be saved for easy reference.

I have many exciting plans for future releases if the community likes this one. ;]
